Robert Young - Artist

Robert Young is a Gunnai, Waradjurie, Yorta Yorta and Gunditjmara Artist living and working in Naarm/Melbourne, Vic. Robert and Brett have been collaborating on documentary style projects from early 2022, working together to showcase the processes and cultural stories behind Roberts sculptural artworks commissioned by local councils.

Wild at Heart

Wild at Heart supports and trains artists who experience visible and invisible disability, mental illness, neuro and gender diversity to tell their stories and engage with the community through paid and unpaid creative work.

Brett was commissioned to visit four artists in their homes and talk with them about their artistic processes and experiences of living with a disability. The end result was to create a short documentary style artist profile showcasing each artists story & creative talent.

The Wheeler Centre

Brett was commissioned by the Wheeler Centre to create a series of short videos Showcasing their Collaboration with Artist Anna Walker for their Spring Fling Festival and a ‘World of Words’ Festival video in collaboration with the Sofitel Hotel.

Retro print Revival
Jan Vogelpoel Studio

This project was a collaboration between ceramic sculptor Jan Vogelpoel and lamp designer Tamara Watts of Retro Print Revival to create a special series of Sculptural Lamps. Brett was brought on to create both a BTS ‘making of’ video & a branded video to showcase the ‘Aurora’ sculptural lamp Collection.
